Have you ever been to a pub?
In today’s episode, I want to talk about one of the most important parts of British culture… the pub. At least in my opinion, the pub is a very important part of British culture.
In the UK, pubs are obviously places where people drink alcohol, but they are more than that. They are social spaces where people meet friends, where people relax after work, and you can feel part of your local community.
In this episode, I want to talk a little bit about what a pub is and how it’s different from bars and restaurants. I’ll give you a short history of pubs. Talk about what you can expect when you visit a pub, some of the social rules and customs, and end with a little bit of [00:01:00] useful English language you might hear in a pub.
