Descript Transcripts & Quizlet Sets

Since summer 2023, I have provided interactive Descript transcripts and vocabulary resources for all Thinking in English episodes (exclusive to Patreon subscribers).

Many of you enjoy listening to my podcast episodes everyday, but I have heard that it can be challenging to follow using my normal static transcripts. At the same time, many listeners requested a more detailed vocabulary list and a method of practicing and learning new vocabulary.

So… I decided to incorporate 3 exclusive Patreon member benefits that would help Thinking in English listeners better comprehend Thinking in English episodes and learn new vocabulary!

Descript Transcript

I provide interactive transcripts from Descript. Descript is a software that I use to edit Thinking in English episodes, but one of the added benefits are interactive transcripts!

These Descript transcripts allow you to listen and follow the transcript in real time. The words of the transcript are highlighted as I speak and the transcript auto-scrolls in time with episode.

Descript episodes are embedded directly into Thinking in English episode transcripts or can be access through links I share on Discord and Patreon!

Vocabulary List and Quizlet Activities

The other part of enhanced Thinking in English podcast transcript experience is related to vocabulary. There are two ways I do this.

1. I create an extended vocabulary list exclusively for Patreon subscribers. The extended list can include 50 or more distinct terms.
2. Based on this extended vocabulary list, I also create Quizlet sets for each episode and embed Quizlet vocabulary activities into my transcripts. You can join the Patreon Quizlet class as well!

Quizlet also creates flashcards and learning activities to help learn the vocabulary from Thinking in English episodes.
