The Isle of Man is one of the most unusual places in Europe. It isn’t part of the UK. But it isn’t an independent country either. The island has its own parliament, its own government, its own laws, its own currency, and its own language. At the same time, it relies on Britain for defence and international representation, and shares the same monarch, king, as the United Kingdom.
So, what exactly is the Isle of Man?
