I’m back in the UK (for a short Christmas break)!

We flew in from Japan on Tuesday 19th and spent the night/ Wednesday in London.

I lived in London 5 years ago, and every time I visit I feel nostalgic. There is something special about London.

A Day in London

Here is a list of everything we did…

  • Ate a great English Breakfast and a “Mediterranean” style English breakfast from a Turkish cafe.
  • Took the bus to the Trafalgar Square and visited the National Gallery.
  • Walked to Westminster Palace (Big Ben). Last time I was in London Big Ben was being repaired, so it was nice to see it finished and complete!
  • Walked down the River Thames and had a beer at a pub on a boat.
  • Visited the Christmas stalls in Covent Garden and Leicester Square
  • Spent our final London hours in the British Museum

Now I’m back in my hometown to relax and unwind over the Christmas period!

A Day in My Hometown

I’ll also include a few photos from my hometown! These photos include…

  • The local Church of England church (it is very old and the first place Amazing Grace was performed)
  • A nice Christmas storefront
  • A chocolate and cherry pancake (crepe). My hometown is famous for a long tradition of pancakes!
  • The local museum (for the writer of the song Amazing Grace).

It is nice to be home, even if only for a few weeks!

How are you spending your weekend?
