This week the ‘Thinking in English’ Community is talking about food and culture!
Food is an important part of every culture. And every country has foods that people are proud of, as well as dishes that may be changing or becoming less popular.
In this conversation club, we’ll talk about our favourite foods, traditional dishes, food from different countries, and how eating habits have changed over time. We’ll also have the chance to recommend foods from our countries to each other and imagine introducing one dish to the rest of the world!
Here are 10 conversation questions to get you talking about food, culture, traditions, and eating habits!
The Thinking in English Conversation Club takes place every TUESDAY and THURSDAY at 12pm, 6pm, and 24pm UK time!
You can find more details on how to participate here!
Conversation Questions:
- What is your favourite food from your country?
- What food would you recommend to a tourist visiting your country?
- Where would you take a foreign visitor to try your country’s food?
- Are there any foods that are especially popular during holidays or festivals?
- Are there any traditional foods that are becoming less popular?
- Do people in your country usually eat together with family or friends?
