I’m really excited about today’s episode because we are going to do something a little bit different. I’m going to look at a fascinating novel I recently read called Babel, or the Necessity of Violence by R.F. Kuang.
Babel is a novel that explores language, translation and the power dynamics of words themselves.
Over the next few minutes, I’ll give you a short synopsis of the book (I’ll talk about what the book’s about). I’ll share my personal thoughts and impressions. I will highlight some of the key themes and ideas in the book.
If you enjoy this episode, I’d really recommend reading the book yourselves. It’s been translated into many languages, so you could read it in English or your native language, and I will try not to spoil anything too important.
