Every year, an organisation called the Institute for Economics and Peace publishes the Global Peace Index. It measures and compares the levels of peace in almost every country in the world, ranks global peace, and analyses some of trends in international conflict, violence, and peace.
In today’s episode of Thinking in English, we are going to look at the Global Peace Index. I’ll explain what it is, how it works, this year’s results, some of the major global trends, the consequences of declining peace, and maybe a few positive developments.
