Where…?: Prepositions of Place (In, On, At) (Conversation Club)

This week, the Thinking in English Community is asking “Where?” in our conversation clubs, with a focus on prepositions of place: in, on, and at.

Talking about where we live, work, study, and spend time gives us a natural way to practise these very common but often confusing grammar points. Using in, on, and at in real conversations helps learners become more accurate and confident when describing places, locations, and modern life.

This conversation club is inspired by the recent Thinking in English grammar episode Do We Live in a Surveillance Society? – Prepositions of Place, which explored how we talk about location in both physical and digital spaces.

Here are 10 conversation questions to get you talking about places, technology, and everyday life, while practising prepositions of place in English!

The Thinking in English Conversation Club takes place every TUESDAY and THURSDAY at 12pm, 6pm, and 23pm UK time!
