What is the Thinking in English Film Club?

The Film Club is a great opportunity for Thinking in English Patreon members to practice their conversational English by discussing a film with other members.

In each session we will talk about one film, please try to watch it before attending! Just like in the normal Conversation Clubs we will provide 10 questions about the film to help to inspire you.

For our next meeting on Wednesday 15th November, we will be discussing the classic science-fiction film 2001: A Space Odyssey

What is 2001: A Space Odyssey?

Here is a movie description for 2001: A Space Odyssey!

“2001: A Space Odyssey” is a science fiction movie from legendary American director Stanley Kubrick that explores space travel and human evolution.

It follows astronauts on a mission to the moon and a mysterious black monolith they discover.

The film also features HAL 9000, a computer that becomes unpredictable.

This movie is also well reknowned for its beautiful visuals and epic music, which make it a uniquely moving experience.

It has a slow pace and an abstract story that encourages viewers to think about humanity’s place in the universe.
