This week the ‘Thinking in English’ Community is discussing what it means to be successful?
Is success about wealth? Is it about career promotions or academic achievements? Is it achieving a work-life balance? Is it connected to happiness? Or something else?
Let’s talk about our views on success, what it means to be successful, and more in the conversation club.
Here are some conversation questions to get you talking!
The Thinking in English Conversation Club takes place every TUESDAY and THURSDAY at 12pm, 6pm, and 11pm UK time!
You can find more details on how to participate here – Patreon!
Conversation Questions:

- If you could be extremely successful in one area of life, what would it be and why?
- Do you think social media gives people a false idea of success?

Conversation Club Times
Just a quick update about the UK daylight saving time change happening on March 30th. The UK will move from GMT to BST (British Summer Time), which means the clocks will go forward by one hour.
Here’s what this means for our conversation clubs:
- 12pm & 6pm (UK time) Tuesday/Thursday – These will stay at the same UK time, but the time in your country might change! Please double-check.
- 11pm Tuesday/Thursday (UK time) → Moving to 12am Wednesday/Friday (UK time) – Since I run these from Japan and most attendees are in places that don’t change their clocks, I’m shifting this club one hour later to keep it consistent for most people.
