The debate over pineapple on pizza has raged on for decades and has divided friends and families all over the world, but there are many other food-based debates.

What is your stance on breakfast food after midday? What about table manners? Tea or coffee? What’s your go-to sauce? And how do you like your eggs in the morning?

Here are 10 conversation questions to get you talking about food-based opinions!

How to Join the Conversation Club?

The Thinking in English Conversation Club takes place every TUESDAY at 12pm, 6pm, and 9pm, and THURSDAY at 12pm and 6pm UK time!

Conversation Questions: Food-Based Opinions

1. Does Pineapple belong on a pizza? Why, why not?

2. Are you a tea person or a coffee person? How do you like your tea / coffee?

3. In your opinion, how should a steak be cooked?

4. What’s your favourite sauce for fries? Ketchup, Mayonnaise, or another sauce?

5. Which is the best source of carbohydrate? Potato, bread, rice, pasta, or something else?

6. What is your favourite way to cook eggs?

7. Is it okay to eat breakfast food for lunch or dinner, or is it just for the mornings?

8. At a restaurant, should you call for the waiter, or wait for them to come to you?

9. What is your most controversial food opinion?
