The Thinking in English Conversation Club takes place every TUESDAY and THURSDAY at 12pm, 6pm, and 9pm UK time!
You can find more details on how to participate on Patreon and Discord!
This week the ‘Thinking in English’ Community is talking about habits.
A habit is something that you do often without really thinking about it. These are behaviours that we have learnt to do all the time, usually subconsciously.
Good habits are great ways of doing the things we need to without needing any motivation to do them. Bad habits are things we shouldn’t do, but can’t stop.
Here are 10 conversation questions to get you talking about good and bad habits!
Conversation Questions: Forming Good Habits and Kicking Bad Habits
1. How important is it to form habits?
2. Do you have any bad habits?
3. What habit are you most proud of?
4. How easily do you form new habits?
5. What is a good habit you would like to form?
6. Have you ever kicked a habit?
7. What is the best way to form a new habit?
8. What is your strangest habit?
9. What habits can help you to learn English?
10. “The chains of habit are too weak to be felt until they are too strong to be broken.”
Samuel Johnson

See you all at this week’s conversation club!

Hi Carmen – you need to log into the website with your Patreon credentials. Once you’ve done this you will be able to see everything. The Patreon log in is on the top right of the side bar (on desktop) or the bottom of the page (on mobile). If you keep getting logged out that is a problem with your browser not with the website itself.
Even I have to log in to Patreon to see my own website, but it lasts about 6 months before I need to re-log in! However, I know it 100% works because I do it myself.
If you are having troubles, it is probably a problem with your browser (maybe not storing cookies correctly?) or your simply not logging in to the site!
And please leave comments in English – I definitely speak 0 Spanish
Hi Tom, this is Ingrid. I think I understand what Carmen try to say, It´s true that when you are on tour web site, having log in patreon or discord,, all the time the website is continually giving you notices to become a patreon, even when you are going to access a podcast or a transcript of the podcast, it keeps telling you, the same thing, and the truth is, it is a bit tiring. I don’t know if it’s something you could improve, it’s assumed that once you’ve logged in and you know you’re a patreon, the website shouldn’t be continually telling you to become a patreon. The same thing happens to me, and I think, I could be wrong of course, that it is not a question of not accessing the site properly. I don’t mind but could be better.
Hi Ingrid- thanks for clarifying. The site shouldn’t log you out – in fact, it has only logged me out of Patreon twice since July. This is across 3 devices and 2 different browsers.
I’ve actually had the opposite problem – I need to use incognito browsers to check everything is working because once you’ve logged into the site it is a challenge to log out!
I’m not sure why you are having a different experience ( my guess is your browser setting is stopping you remembering the log in).
However, there is nothing I can change… this is the only app that exists for connecting WordPress and Patreon.
Hi, Don’t worry Tom. It’s Ok.
