This week the ‘Thinking in English’ Community is talking about electric vehicles and the future of transportation!

Electric vehicles are fast becoming a completely normal form of transportation around the world, and EVs have always been marketed as very green.

But how environmentally friendly are electric cars, and are they really the future of transportation? Or should we look elsewhere for greener transport?

Here are 10 conversation questions to get you talking about electric vehicles and the future of transportation!

1. What is transport like in your city? What is the best way to get around?

2. Would you buy an electric vehicle now? What about in the next five years?

3. Does your government give incentives for people to buy electric cars?

4. What is transport like between cities in your country?

5. Do you think other forms of transport need to be electrified?

6. What is the greenest way to move around? What is the most practical?

7. Is your government investing enough into the future of transport?

8. Are you worried about pollution in your city? How can electric vehicles help?

9. Do you think your country is too dependent on cars?

10. “Electric Vehicles still cause pollution, they just cause it somewhere else.”
