This week, the Thinking in English Community is talking about Europe in our conversation clubs!
When you think of Europe, what comes to mind? Famous cities? A long history? The European Union? Food, culture, and football? Europe is often talked about as one region, but it is also incredibly diverse.
These conversation clubs will give you a great opportunity to practise describing places, comparing cultures, talking about history, and sharing opinions about global influence and the future. It should also encourage you to think critically about stereotypes and how regions are represented in the media.
Here are 10 conversation questions to get you talking about Europe!
The Thinking in English Conversation Club takes place every TUESDAY and THURSDAY at 12pm, 6pm, and 23pm UK time!
You can find more details on how to participate here!
Conversation Questions:
- What comes to mind when you think of Europe?
- Which European country interests you the most?
- What stereotypes have you heard about Europe or countries in Europe?
- Do you think European culture is similar across countries? Or very different?
- What makes Europe attractive for tourists?
- Is European history taught in schools in your country? What part of history?
- Is Europe still as globally influential as it was in the past?
